Due to the aircraft being in the air a lot and the crew only have limited cleaning equipment, this interior detail was well over due! Usual methods of interior cleaning had to be scrapped or changed to suit aviation regulations.
The main areas needing attention were the leather seats and general dust build up due to air circularising continuously when flying.
Some before images:
To start with, any lose/removable items were taken from the cabin and worked on outside of the jet.
This gives you an idea to the level of dirt build up inside. We have done several photo’s of the same mat showing 50/50’s.
Complete
Onto the leather seats where more natural solutions and method to clean were needed, as no moisture or chemical residue could be left. A lot more work but leaving the same results as with automotive leather cleaning:
After:
Dirty microfibre cloth after cleaning the leather!
After the leather the fabric rear bench required a little more in depth clean..
50/50 of the fabric
Onto the bright work which was degreased, IPA wiped down then coated with a nano sealant.
To the rear of the cabin.. The glass was cleaned with a very fine mist of Gtechniq Perfect Glass –
With all of the mats and centre runner removed, we were able to clean the carpets and de-dust the cabin:
Using a mixture of brushes, vacuum and compressed air tools we were able to remove all the dust and revive the carpet pile..
Here you can see the build of dust/fluff covering the carpet! 50/50 showing dusty before and clean clean risen pile –
Centre runner –
From left to right shows Pure Detail deep cleanse – just vacuum – Before!
Cockpit carpet 50/50
With the cabin complete, the steps were cleaned and coated with a non-slip sealant…
All complete:
And finally a quick picture of the plane itself…
