Ferrari FF

Ferrari FF G-Techniq New Car Detail + Defect removal.

This gorgeous Ferrari FF was booked in after the customer took his previous 599 GTB for a service at JCT600 and drove away in this having seen it in their showroom. Having had the 599 detailed several times, the FF was booked in for our G-Techniq New Car Detail plus defect removal from certain areas of the car, where he thinks it’s where people have leaned on it having their picture taken with the car. Some being quite deep scratches.

So on arrival…

Scratches on the top part of the near side wing…

Scratches along the edge of the front bumper…

General condition of the front bumper,

Having inspected the front end, we also found polish residue from previous work, which could explain the front bumpers poor condition compared to the rest.

The condition of the rest of the car was of heavy marring resulting in tight holograms, the video below illustrates this…

So with the paint inspection complete and detailed list of problems to rectify, it was time to move outside for the initial deep cleanse stages.

Once the deep cleanse stages were completed, it was then rolled inside to be thoroughly dried using flood technique, drying aid, drying towels and compressed air to blast out areas where water and settle.
The first task was to correct the scratches in the front bumper and near side wing. Having taped the bumper edges which maybe touched, we used Scholl s17 and medium grade polishing pad.

The results…

Corrected scratches

Swirls corrected

Which when all the swirls and marring was removed had an amazing reflection!

Once the defect correction was complete, attention was turned to the rest of the bodywork. During the paint inspection, no deeper marks past the marring were found, so a lot finer polish and pad combination was decided on which left these results…

Cloud reflections…

Happy with the level of finish after the 2 stage machine time, it was time for the G-Techniq C1, C4, C5, T1 and G1 to be applied.

Time lapse video showing the application of G1, C1, C4 and IPA wipe down of the wheels.

Before T1 can be applied, the tyre has to be bare rubber, no dirt or another tyre dressing can be present.

Results, which when layered, will last up to 6 months!!

Rear plastic diffuser, lower part of the rear bumper and scuttle tray all coated with C4 leaving them looking brand new and protected semi-permanently…

Wheels and calipers protected with C5

Finally.. the results…

We love these last two shots… The reflections and metallic flake pop is just incredible!
