Aston Martin DB9 Volante

Having waited for the right colour paint with the interior he wanted the customer finally had the chance to buy this volante. Having only done very few miles the paint was in very good condition, but needed a little love to see it back to showroom fresh condition. As it arrived…

Lots of lose contaminates, so onto the presoak and wash down…

Pre-soak was left to drag itself off the car for 5 minutes, before soaking the car with swissvax shampoo and washed down using the Dodo Juice yeti wash mitt…

Rinse

Once all washed down all the shuts were cleansed. Once complete the focus was on the wheels with bonded brake dust.
This was treated with IronX, left on for 5 minutes, worked with different brushes before rinsing…

left on..

worked over…

Rinsed…

The car was then clayed, washed again and brought inside for the paint to be inspected.
As you can see lots of hollowgrams with faint light swirling.

Once we tested several polish pad combinations we found a perfect solution and started on the correction stage.

With another pad and polish combo, the plastic lenses front and rear were also corrected

Once the correction stage was complete, we moved to the finishing machine stages. This left a very deep shine..

After the final machine stages, the car was ipa’d down and then taken outside to be washed down and rinsed very carefully. Once dried, only using the drying machine the paint was coated with swissvax best of show, glass treated with G-Techniq G1 and the roof coated with G-Techniq I1.

After this all the finishing touches were added including a matt tyre coating and taken for a few glory photo’s…

Finished..
